How to remove the write protection of the SD cards

Hello, I am trying to copy things into the SD cards but I am oftenly being told that the card is write protected. And it also states that the write protected must be remove the write protection first inorder to download anything into the SD cards. How can I be able to remove the write protection inorder to use the SD cards.
