Question How To Rename Volume/Partition in Windows 10 Disk Management?

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I actually created an account just to ask this question, I have spent several hours searching on the web for an answer, but to no avail.

My question is really simple, how can I rename the EFI System Partition on my C:/ drive in Disk Management. It is currently named (Disk 1 partition 2), but I find that ugly and was wondering if there was any way to rename to a simple name such as EFI. My C:/ and D:/ drive can be renamed through Properties, but the Properties tab is greyed out for the EFI partition. There is another partition which I can't modify but it is named Recovery, not something like (Disk 1 partition 3).

It's a small detail, but I'm pretty OCD haha

No need to touch those. Leave them alone.
If there is drive letter assigned to EFI System or recovery partitions, then remove it. They will not show in file explorer.

They're stippled out because end users are not supposed to be playing with them, period.

There are very good reasons for this, and the advice from @SkyNetRising to leave well enough alone is perfect.

Train your OCD to ignore them.
