How to repair a cracked laptop monitor case??

The casing supporting my laptop's monitor cracked. Now I can't open the monitor to a normal position. If i do manage to open it to a normal position, the monitor flops open and the crack gets enlarges.

Is there a way to order a new monitor case for the Dell Inspiron 8600?

Dell tech support... send it to them to fix... or buy a new one.

BTW: why is the dell forum under tom's hardware related.
