How to repair a laptop cd drive

My CD Toshiba Satellite A135-S4487 drawer opens - a disk spins and then stops (doesn't play).

Can you help ?....ken

try downloading the latest firware for your drive at Toshiba's site.
That could help.
Was it working before?
What are you trying to play and with what software? If its a movie i always recomend VLC Media Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Did you try several disks. If none play, try cleaning the laser pickups with a cotton swab. If that does not work, replace the drive.
