How to repair the corrupt Transcend Harddisk

My Transcend HDD is corrupted. it has folders showing wearied characters. i want to repair my HDD and use it as previously i used to. i have tried doing the chkdsk x: /f anf chkdsk x: /r in my windows system, but the output was "Cannot open volume for direct access". kindly help me out through this.

what is mpt tool?

sorry slight typo should be mptool

theres different ones depending which controller is used in the flash drive just trying to remember the name of the tool that tells you what controller you have

mptool is mass production tool

its what flash drive manufacturers use to do stuff to flash drives

need something like chip genius to find the numbers then its either google or theres a russian site some where that you can enter the numbers you get to try and find the mp tool needed
