Question how to replace drive with fresh install w10?

I want to replace my existing hdd with a larger drive and fresh install of windows 10....

Would i simply download the windows 10 iso file from my pc. Then replace drive. The restart and boot from iso dvd?

What is the easiest method to backup/reinstall my programs and setings?

You download the MediaCreation tool from MS, and use that to create a bootable USB or DVD.

Disconnect ALL drives except this new one
Boot from that USB, and install.
