How to replace LCD Cable ASUS K55A Laptop

I have an Asus K55A which is showing pink and green screens and horizontal lines across the screen. It displays normally on another rmonitor attached. I have also replaced the screen and the same things happens. From this I am presuming the video card is fine, the screen is fine but the LCD Cable is loose or damaged and may need replaced.

I can take the screen apart and follow the LCD cable down through the hinge of the laptop but I cant seem to work out how I get to where it joins the motherboard in order to see if it is loose or to replace it. I cant find a video anywhere online for this model.

Can anyone provide advice on how to check or replace this cable and do people agree with my diagnosis?

it's the keyboard replacement, but since you've replaced the screen, this will show you how to get the other end of the cables.

Thanks will try that out tomorrow night. I presume all the K55 models have the same build.

Yes the cable must have been faulty replacing it with a cheap alternative from ebay worked.
