Recently had water damage done to my computer, had to get a brand new graphics card and motherboard. Everything else was fine, and my computer is back up and running. Problem is, my motherboard had to be downgraded slightly, from a gigabyte 970A-ud3p to a gigabyte 970A-ds3p. It's not running smoothly at all and my best guess is that I need a new BIOS for the new motherboard. I'm not sure how to remove the old BIOS and install the new one if need be, and will I have to completely uninstall my OS as well to do a fresh install? I have a bunch of programs and files already on here and I'd rather not spend the next 7 hours essentially resetting up this computer if I can help it.
This was the first computer I built and so everything was a learning process the first time, and now I'm not exactly sure where to go from here in regards to changing BIOS. I've already got the new BIOS files on a flash drive because I read that was something I should do and install that way, but it said the files were incompatible. Do I uninstall the BIOS from the control panel? How do I go about this? I'm just slightly out of my depth here.
Thanks!
