On my old z490 edge board you could reset all the bios setting to default when you exited. It was an option by the save configuration and exit button. I dont know how to reset cmos and didnt feel up to learning right this moment.

My xmp profile is acting a little strange, jumping back and forth on the dram xmp setting between enabled and disabled. It runs fine and stable under full load but Im getting some coil wine or something and would like to reset the bios to default. Is there a different hotkey for resetting bios to defualt settings or is cmos really my only option?

I havent manually touched any voltage settings, only manually changed dram speed under the easy xmp profile.

You may have a BIOS without the option to reset it to default.
It's easy to reset manually.
See page 42 in the manual.
Thanks I had looked into shorting the jbat but the manual just shows a vague set of two pins under the last pcie slot. The problem is there are 3 sets of 2 pins, followed by a set of four pins. Its one of those 3 sets of 2, but I have no idea which one and its not labeled on the board.

Is this the board?

you can see the battery in the pic.
You could power down and remove the battery for 10 minutes....or power down and do what's on page 42.
That is indeed the board and yep its right there under the pcie lane. Just out of curiosity do you know why the manuals pic is so vague? Id like to know how to short the jbat but like I said theres 3 sets of two pins and none are labeled.
