How to reset bios settings for new ram

Hello,

I have an older Toshiba Satellite R15 S822 with the 512 Ram that came installed. I'm attempting to upgrade by installing 2 1G Ram Cards.......they are DDR1, PC2700 333MHZ, 200 pin. When I installed them the computer charges up but does not boot. I've put in one, then the other, and also tried adding one with the original 512 card. I will not boot. Any suggestions.

You can try resetting the CMOS memory. You'll have to look at your motherboard manual, but this usually involves moving a jumper or removing a tiny battery and waiting 20 seconds.
