How to Reset your Motherboards Bios Manually?


Tried repeatedly on startups to toggle on the bios, but no luck.

Motherboard:
MSI B75MA-P45, Socket-1155


If there is a easy guide how to do this would be appreciated : )

If there is no BIOS reset button on the motherboard, another way to reset the BIOS is by taking out the RTC battery (CR 2032) from the motherboard and leaving it out for 10 minutes. Then re-insert the battery. The BIOS will be reset to factory settings.

You want to clear the BIOS or just reset to factory defaults ?

A. To Reset to defaults", just enter your BIOS and it should list on the landing page a function key to press to resent to defaults

B. To Clear CMOS cause something went south, if ya donn't have a clear CMOS button, use opne of the techniques here:

However, your MoBo manual will explain the seopcific procedure for your board.

i want to reset the bios so i can enter bios key on startup, Since it didn't load for a wierd reason. i want this to adjust some settings such as Fan Speed and those kinds. but yeah thanks guys didn't know about the Cmos battery, but i took away the switch in the guides you provided and after a minute "maybe overkill" but at that point when i putted it back in and booted up, the bios was working like it was new.

Sometimes a boot will not give you the visual que to hit delete or F2 .... if it doesn't load, usually just restart and mash the Del key.

Resetting CMOS is generally reserved for "frozen" puters.
