How to reset cartridge PG-41!

How to reset cartridge PG-41? I refilled them but my canon MP 170 still show that it is empty... How can I reset them?

Reset Ink level Canon Printer Cartridges PG-40, CL-41, PG-50, CL-51, CL-52

To reset the ink Level (method 1)

1. Paste with a thin strip tape the upper horizontal row contactjes
