How to Resize the Apps Tiles in Windows 8/Windows 8.1 Start Screen?

The default size of all the tiles that the Start screen of Windows 8/Windows 8.1 operating system has is quite ideal for almost every Windows users throughout the globe. However sometimes you might want to increase the size in order to make the objects clearly visible. You may also want to decrease the size so that more tiles can be accommodated within the same screen in order to make the accessibility of the corresponding programs easy.

Whether you want to increase the size of the tiles or decrease them, the overall process of doing so is quite simple and straightforward. The method also does not require any administrative intervention or privileges. This further means that even if you log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer using a standard (non-administrator) account, you can still resize the objects.
Here is how you can get the job done:

■Log on to the Windows 8/Windows 8.1 computer using your account.
■Once you are on the Start screen, right-click the tile that you want to resize.



■From the contextual options that appear at the bottom of the screen, click Resize.
■Once done, choose the appropriate size as per your choice from the available options.



■You can follow the above steps to resize all the available tiles on the Start screen individually.
■You can also keep left-clicking the other tiles individually after right-clicking the first one, and follow the above steps to resize all the selected tiles in a single go.
