How to restore acer aspire one to factory settings without cd

aceraspire one cannot restore operating system or restore system to factory defaults

Shut down the computer. Open the case cover and remove the RTC battery (Lithium CR 2032). Leave it out for 10 minutes. Re-install the RTC battery.

This will reset the BIOS to factory defaults.

the ALT F10 is the one I needed, thanks This reinstalled the factory settings and software back to where it was when it came out of the box. Whoever had this before me got a ton of bunk and malware on it and this was easier than removing all that.
. The battery thing just clears the bios

For anyone that haves issues going to the Recovery, keep pressing ALT + F10 several times from the moment you turn on the computer until you get to the recovery screen.
