How to restore audio sound on a dell computer free

Hello,
the audio & video playback sound has stopped working. can u please help me restore it?

Check your connections first, then windows device manager. Any device drivers with a mark next to them means the driver isn't working. Select the driver, and under properties, select driver upgrade. Let windows search for it while online.
