How to restore to factory settings windows visa

I can't load anything else but safe mode and I also don't have a restore point to go back to but would restoring back to factory settings help,or could anyone suggest a way to get into windows normally as when I do it crashes

If you're really wanting factory settings, you may as well just re-install over the top of it, clean installs are always nice :|

If the issue started out of no-where, it may be a hardware issue, possibly with the hard drive. Restoring to factory may help if it's NOT hardware so won't hurt to try. Just make sure your files and other things you want saved are backed up.
