How to restore Windows 7 Laptop

Hi, I have this laptop that i got about 3 years ago, it use to run pretty good... even a few games on max settings, but as the years have gone by I can't be able to run anything... it's ridiculous.
Anyway, I want to reimage my computer, i have backed up certain programs so i can put them back on the laptop.

Can you be more specific? Do you have any backup DVD(s) or Windows 7 installation CD with you?

Did your laptop come with Windows preinstalled? Hopefully you have a recovery drive paritition. It may be called something like Recovery (D) that is listed along-side your main C drive and your DVD/CD drive.
