How to retrieve data from an external hard drive and transfer to a new computer

Hi, my WD Passport will not work, need help retrieving all files and data from the drive. It worked last week, do not know what happened

Eh... Try putting it in a really cold area for some time. It works with traditional hard drives; not sure about SSDs.
