Question How to Retrieve Iphone Backup from Macbook to my Google Pixel 2

Hello All !

I recently bought a Google Pixel 2 as my Iphone 6plus went dead. I have a complete back up of my Iphone on my macbook air.
I want to retrieve the back up from my macbook to my Google Pixel 2 or to windows. I have a windows laptop too with me. Need Help!

Have you tried plugging in your Pixel to your air and opened iTunes?

For what I've seen, iPhone backups made with iTunes are restore-able only on another iPhone, you can't pull out photos, music etc. If you have a backup onto the iCloud, then you might be able to download it, piece by piece, and copy it over to your Pixel.

no ways to copy from iTunes to G2 phone, iPhone backups are locked to be restored on original phone only.

Right. Try Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ drag and drop to a USB and see if that works.

And then what? Copying xxx gigabytes blob onto your pixel, and then?

The Paladin is more than likely right. If it was that easy it would not be secure. My suggestion was to copy to USB then see if you can put it on your laptop. I suppose this is where iCloud would be helpful or buy another iPhone. Or see if a friend has an extra one that you could borrow.
