Question How to reuse a water cooler

I’m upgrading my cpu and motherboard today from a 6700k and z170 to a Ryzen 7 2700x and X470. I need to know if there is anything special I have to do to re use my Corsair h100i. Like how does it stick back on a new cpu since it came with plastic to peel off for the adhesive originally. Will it still stick or do I need thermal paste?

To reuse it , check the compatibility list I linked. Yes paste would need to be cleaned and new reapplied for the new AMD CPU.

This is what I have. I literally just bought it like a month ago so it’s got the bracket for am4. So I will just use the thermal paste that comes with the Ryzen for the wraith cooler. Thank you!

The wraith cooler has paste preapplied, making it unusable. You'll have to grab a tube.
