Question How to run applications in full screen ?

Hello all ... Its been awhile since i had done a question on here so it might sound silly but i have no where to go an ask such things so my problem is this " How to get applications to go full screen? i have tried the normal action since i am doing it on Asus gaming laptop FA706IH . I was told to do press FN button an F11 and only thing that does is reset the laptop back to the sign in screen
f11 does not make the application to go full screen .. Am i doing something wrong here??

What applications are you trying to get to fullscreen? Fn+F11 is the shortcut command to send your laptop into sleep, or so that's what I can deduce from what you're saying and cross referencing this image of your laptop's keyboard;

Might want to open up Device Manager and see if you have any items flagged with a yellow exclamation mark.

I've gotten the sleep thing disabled i made sure of that in the power options . what applications i'm referring to is the video players that plays on the web page like jw player
