How to run Chkdsk on WD USB 2TB

When looking at the directories and files on the drive some are displayed in blue (I use WindowsXP) and TuneUp Utilities tell me to run "Chhdsk /f" but it reverts back to running Chkdsk on my C drive. I have no problems accessing all the files, and have run Kasperpersky 2014 Scan and no problems are encountered. How can I run Chkdsc /f ? Many thanks Peter Gruner petgrun@gmail.com .

chkdsk /f <drive letter>:

E.g. 'chkdsk /f d:'.

Or right click on the drive, open properties, and hit the check drive for errors button.
