Hi all,

I need help with running my LInux Scientific OS from USB on my Windows 7 VMware Workstation (or VirtualBox).

How do I configure Workstation or Virtual box to read the contents of USB drive and boot in the same manner as it does when I boot from BIOS?

I need to switch from HDD to USB in BIOS everytime I want to switch Operating Systems which is time consuming... I want to use Linux from USB while in Windows 7.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

I searched a lot but cannot find something that seems right...

You see, I have a USB stick (work stuff) and it contains Linux Scientific with various files on it which I need to run and accessed. It's a pre-build OS for special cause. If I install Linux on Virtual disk I will get just the Linux OS and will not have any files which I need.

Instead of booting from BIOS all the time I want to work on my Windows 7 Desktop

Any suggestions on this?
