How to run recovey console on sony vaio

Hello, How can I access the recovey console on my vaio VGN-FW140e? It did not come with a restore cd. It has a built it recovey partition but I dont see the option to access the recovery console. I need to run fixboot. Thanks

Reboot or turn on PC
Press F8 before Windows starts to load
Select Repair Your Computer

That should get you to a place where you can run fixboot from a console command prompt

If you just want to restore your computer back to factory condition, just turn on the computer and start hitting F10. This will boot the computer off the recovery partition.
