How to run this source code?

So i have downloaded this project named IMPRO (INDUSTRIAL MANPOWER RESOURCE ORGANISER)
With its report , synopsis and source code . I want to run the source code and test the software but i m a total dork
I m also new here so i dont know if i m barking up the right tree or not .
Any help is appreciated thanks

Looks like IMPRO is written in vb.net and SQL server. You should be able to use the free Community Edition of Visual Studio to work with the source code.

You're probably right ,I'll try testing it after downloading visual studio 2015 which is a whooping 6.7 gb of downloading
