How to Safely Store Old Components?

I am soon going to be upgrading my PC. Therefore, I will end up with a spare CPU, hard drive, power supply, and case. How can I store these things (besides the case) so they are kept safe if I use them in another build some day? Baggies for instance?

Solution
I put all of my old components back into their boxes for storage. I doubt others keep every little box like I do, but it is helpful.

If you dont have the original boxes laying around, the other option is to use the new boxes instead.
Stick the CPU into the plastic container from the new one, they fit most modern CPUs.
The HDD I simply leave on the shelf.
PSU is the same story, it wont get hurt sitting there.

Okay cool! So the CPU you don't put in any sort of plastic? Just stick it in the cardboard box?

Eh perhaps I should not have thrown that out 😛 I guess I could put it in the new CPU tray since they're same socket.

Be especially careful with AMD CPUs, those pins are easily bent and broken, I've found if nothing better available a small jewelry box and some cotton batting do well, most any add in cards can be put in anti-static bags, same with DRAM, if original packing not available

I have Intep Pentium.
