How do I save my HDD partition that has Windows 7 Pro and my apps and files on it so I can put it on my new empty HDD? I want to keep everything exactly the way my Windows 7 is like settings, apps, files, etc and put them to a different HDD so my new HDD will run the same as my old one.

Thanks

Hi

You can get Acronis limited edition free from western digital and probably Seagate to copy onto a WD or seagate drive

There are many other limited free programs from companies like Paragon, easus,
And many more.
use Google to search for more similar software

Most can expand partition to larger destination drives
Paid for versions have more features or faster copying speeds, or can be used by business

windows may detect a new hard disk unless the disk signature is alo copied

I' am kind of confused but the free ones can copy everything on my HDD just will be slower or can't be used for business? I currently have a 320GB HDD and most of it is used and wanted to completely copy what's in it so I can completely restore it to a bigger HDD and my notebook will run exactly like now just have bigger space. I can say I never done this before so I don't know what I need but I am tech savy but not a Pro or anything. Just never done this before in my life since before I just kept reinstalled Windows and install all my programs all over again and it gets really annoying. I thought I should try this so I don't waste time on downloading updates and installing my programs.

I found AOMEI that is free but I need to know is how to transfer everything from external HDD or Flash drive to new internal HDD since I won't be able to load windows on new drive to use the software. I am new to this still.
