Hello,
I have a laptop connected to a wireless connection and a desktop both running windows 7 ultimate.
I've been searching for hours for a guide but to no avail.
My problem is that whenever i bridge the two an error would show up and say windows ip conflict. I just want to play lan games with other people on the router. I can see the room but can't join them

You need to set up the wired crossover connection with a static IP address to keep it away from the automatic ones allocated by DHCP on the other networks. Have a look at the Sticky Post on changing IP addresses at the top of the General Networking forum - it's all in there and one of the last posts has a link to dealing with it in Windows 7.[/#000ff]
