How to set up LAN between 2 pc

Can you play a LAN game on 2 PC even if only 1 of the computer have the game files?

No, both computers need the game installed.

Aside from a few very old game boy advanced games, I've never seen a computer game where only one computer needed the game in LAN mode. Why don't you just check the system specs of the game. Also, if you list the game, someone can probably give you a more difinitive answer.

I also think this is not possible but our professor told us that we need to connect 2 PC with a crossover cable but only 1 PC have the game installed.
