You should leave the settings inside CCC as application controlled. Its best if you go into the games settings menu and adjust the settings according to your screen resolution and ofc eye candy
Usually when you set high details in a game, it cripples the system and produces adverse frame rates.
For people interested in details, adjusting them to provide a minimum of 30 Frames Per Second(FPS) is generally a good idea while anything above that will relate to smoother gameplay.
For people interested in just finishing the game, you can set it to the lowest settings and continue playing the game.
