How to setup 3-Way Sli without overpriced bridge?

I've seen it done before. How do I setup 3 way sli without having to shell out 40-80 bucks for a ROG 3 way bridge? I'm also not in the US but on an APO shipping spot so my options are limited. Any suggestions? I thought I could use 3 2 way sli bridges to make it work. Like connect 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 and then 1 to 3. Does that worK?
