How to setup a wireless File sharing server

I'm wanting to setup a wireless file server for my house. I have a few desktops on throughout the day and we all enjoy the same media.
I tried Google as to find a tutorial on how to do it but each one is very vague in how to go about it.
If any of you know of a good tut or this or can explain it to me that would be awesome! Thank you very much!

So, I'll be able to give 1 computer, the host, a folder with 'x' files in it and all other computers on the same network will be able to access these files in the folder correct? Some of my friends and I will be making documents for our own classes then we will need to share A with B, D with A, ect. And by share, I mean have that host computers folder in view and just click it to see each others work.
