How to setup HDhomerun Prime on Plex

I am looking to buy a HDhomerun Prime to setup with Plex so that I could use it with the amazon fire sticks that I have connected to my tvs. I would also like to buy an Apple AirPort Extreme to use with Plex. The only thing I don’t now how to do is how I could set up the homerun prime with plex and how I could use the AirPort Extreme as a plex server. I read that you could use an AirPort Extreme as a NAS but I just don’t know how to do it.
