Need help setting up Quality of Service since the people in my house refuse to stop watching netflix pretty much constantly. I was wanting to put my computer at a higher priority but I think my router is incapable, so I was just going to add a few games to the QoS. I'm completely illiterate with networking so some help would be greatly appreciated. Just for reference I would like to add Overwatch to start with.

Not on your router it does not appear. Still just completely block it what is the difference, if you partially block it will still have the same effect netflix will be unusable either way. Netflix does not actually use that much bandwidth and if it is causing you issues your link is way to small to share in the first place.
The concept of priority is invalid when you are talking download rates. The ISP is in full control. If the ISP drops your game traffic and send netflix instead how can your router possibly give something that does not even exist priority. Now if you could configure the ISP router you could use the concept of priority. You can only really use the concept of priority to limit your upload rates which I in general is not a problem for most people.

Your router would need a feature that lets you limit the download bandwidth to fixed values. This is not actually QoS, what it does is drop traffic that is actually received and used up bandwidth in the hope the end machine will detect it and slow down its request. Youtube for example detects the loss and reduces the quality of the stream.

Pretty much in your case someone will not get what they want. If there is not enough bandwidth for both of you to do what you want it someone will be upset. Even if your router could restrict it (don't think it can) all you did was enforce a agreement electronically and it sounds like you do not actually have a agreement.

Still if you really want to do this I suspect your router has the ability to completely block the other machine traffic or block netflix. You could manually set the option when you start to play games and then set it back when you are done. It really has the same effect as if you had some fancy QoS you are saying when I want to play games you can not watch netflix.

So what your saying is their is no way to dedicate a portion of my internet to my computer for the sole purpose of playing a game? Or limit the bandwith that netflix uses?

You have bigger problem: Your connection to the ISP. Your router semss to be DSL, so your service is like 3-5mbps. One video stream is more than enough to saturate this link.

Your only option in that case is getting your own Internet connection - either thru separate phone line, or cable.

My internet connection is actually about 10mbps down and 1mbps up, I realize Netflix uses alot of bandwidth and most times will use all that is available up to a certain point I was just kind of hoping to portion off some of the speed specifically for gaming considering online games uses miniscule amounts of bandwidth.
