How to share files on servers with workgroup PCs

Hello Everyone,

Could anyone help me with this problem? On the workgroup PCs that use the same network, i entered the shared folder's path and then i entered the username and the password of one of the domain users and saved the credentials so the folder can be opened any time and it worked.

But the problem is that when anyone uses the Remote Desktop Connection app on those PCs and clicks Connect, they get logged on to that domain user directly.

PCs are in the same network with the server but they're not parts of the domain, so, i have a database file on my domain server and i want to share it with those workgroup PCs so the app installed on them can read the database file without having to enter credentials. Is it possible?

If you want to share the data with non-domain users without a password, you need to set the rights on the share and the files to "everyone".
