how to slap bitch?

My act 1 merc seems to be totally stupid, walking towards Meph as is she
didn't have a nice bow. Maybe it's just that time of the month.

Any suggestions on how to make her behave? I tried getting her killed a
few times, but kind of want her by my side. Maybe a good beating is the
way. You tell me your experience.

All merc's, no matter what kind/act, are pretty darn dumb until they reach
higher levels (about 70 or so?).
My thought is that they all like to 'watch your back' usually, but they can
'see' further when they are higher levels, so they seem to work so much
better later in the game because, even if they are still 'behind' you, they
can now see the monsters on the other edge of the screen.
Just me trying to make sense of their actions.
Or...
Yes, just slap the bitch if she doesn't behave. 😉

having no clue as to what misogyny means (english is not my first
language), I still have to agree with ArtDent.
If the merc - male or female - needs to learn respect, what other
options do we have?! In order to work as a team, the merc has to be
proper trained. Only wish they hadn't made them that dumb!

Professional help is allways a good idea. I'll pay you in pgems if
you'll help me with her. Or maybe you don't want to get paid...? LOL

Teleport does well in bringing her back by my side for all my sorc chars.

Actually my merc is lvl 87, but still dumb. I even tried positioning me
on different sides of Meph, but she still wanders off.

What equip? Anything there that shortens vision range? I don't take mercs
down to baal as a rule but I have a summoning necro at the end of nightmare
that has a rogue that happily fires her goldstrike from outside melee range
while the skells whack away, she hasn't died since back in normal.
