I want to get a 2nd gpu its obviously the exact same model. I just have 2 questions.
first question: can i just plug in my 2nd gpu and hook it up with an sli bridge to original card and then just start my computer? or do i need some preliminary program/settings?

second question: I have an ASRock x79 champion, it recommends i put my gpu in the very top/first pcie slot. Im unable to do that so my current card is running from the 2nd one down. will this effect me if i use the 3rd one down for sli? will it run slowly, or not even work? I might eventually 3 way sli it AT MOST so would it be ok just to take up all 3 of those middle pice slots?

The further down the board it is, the slower it will perform. Otherwise, as long as you have a driver that does SLI, you should be able to just attach the cards with the bridge and geforce experience should pick up the second card and make the changes.

when i plug the card in it will be extremely close to the other one, how do i press the white tab to pop it out if i have to? just get a small blunt object and squeeze it in there?

thats why i can never fit it in the top pcie slot, the giant black "FATAL1TY" thing is in the way of fitting it properly and taking it out.

Really?

Nowhere in that thread does the Moderator say that SLi will work, just that the cards will physically work.

Consult the MoBo Manual ... as with preferable RAM slots, not only do different manufacturer's do it different ways, but even manufacturer's change it up now and then. Also note that the bandwidth of the slots can change depending on what slot it is in and what is in the other slots.
