How to slow down fans..

Solution
Yes it wud definately be a solution as u can slwer the fans when idle and fasten them while gaming
After all this is what they are made fr so go fr a fan cntrllr to have an acoustic balance
I use speedfan to control my AF120 fans. Yes they are 3 pin but they can still be controlled. What you have to do is download a software program called SpeedFan, you need to make sure that you have it as a startup program so that the fans you have configured. are saved, and then configure the fan speeds in there.

Please look at these links they will help you massively.

If you don't want to use SpeedFan then you could adjust the fan speeds in the BIOS by adjust the percentage levels and status:

Standard
Silent
Turbo etc etc

Side note; I have my quiet editions running at 90% but they will only run at that when your OS and startup programs have booted up.

Get a y cable and attach the two fans and connct the other end to the cpu cooler
Then the fans wud cntrlled accrdin to the cpu load/temps

And if u do not want to do that get these fans cnncted to mobo and the install speedfan to control the fans

PWM doesn't even show up for me under the advanced tab.

Thats what I did. I only get the option "DTS interpretation" and "Temperature Offset" 1,2,3 and 4.

Under the speeds tab, nothing shows up.

Yea, thats not working out for me either.

Would it be worth investing in a fan controller?
And could it just be that the fans I have cannot change rpm and they are locked at 2350?

yes, slow down the fans speeds.
start your windows and open your control panel.
click on the Performance and Maintenance. and select the power saver option. here various options are available. Cooling Method is the option we are looking for. Depending on the system performance, the cooling method is utilized to slow down the CPU. You can change this slider bar position to increase or decrease the fan speed.
