how to speed up my WLAN 1390 mini card

Have 50mbps coming into router then thru an ethernet into pc get speed there if I leave the ethernet in the router my wireless speed is 20mbps how can I get my pc to get the 50mbps wireless speed

That's a .g card. You may need to try a faster adapter that can handle the fastest Wifi your router or WAP has. Best case would be to find a friend who has a USB adapter that's .n or higher and test. If it's faster, buy one.

Yes, the theoretical max throughput for .g is 54 mbps. But you'd probably only get near that with the PC next to the router.
