How to stop a chunnel?

Hi,

I always thought that high system damage would stop a FC from
chunneling. Is that assumption wrong?

Had a situation this turn: I spotted a FC entering my space thru a WH
and detonated some MFs so it's damage levels were >100 (engine &
controls) *before* . But this bloody thing still recieved an incoming
warp chunnel.

Is this my fault or shouldn't this be possible?

The chunnel target only needs to still exist,
all requirements only need to be meet by the ship which chunnels itself
and other ships to the target.
