How to stop Microsoft Edge from opening whenever my computer wakes from sleep mode ?
Editing registry from 1 to 0 as suggested here didn't work:

I have a kvm switch and every time I switch back to my Win10 computer Edge opens. This also happens when my computer goes into sleep mode and I wake it up. Is there any way to prevent this? It only recently happened. Has a new "update" happened…

But the simple suggestion of changing Lock Screen to 'Picture' from 'Windows Spotlight' worked!! , I wonder why?

windows spotlight is an ad disguised as a picture. clicking just about anywhere on the screen triggers the ad which will open in edge.

hence why it happened and why turning off spotlight worked.
