how to stop scan & repair preventing reboot

Windows 10. Had some drive errors and now scan & repair runs continuously over again, like 24 hours or more. Touch any key timer doesn't appear; Can't boot from cd. Any suggestions?

If the issue cropped up after a mandatory windows update I'd suggest you perform a system restore to go to a point prior to the issue. Can you please pass on your full systems specs? If a laptop then please add the make and model number. If you can boot into you desktop space, try and perform a repair install and see if the issue is averted. Last ditch effort can be to create a bootable USB installer and reinstall your OS.
