My issue is that when the operating system loads it will last for 0-90 minuets before it freezes and it does not recover, just leaves a still image on the screen for eternity. I've tried disabling the AMD Turbo overclock feature as well as the cool'n'quite mode+C1E and Core C6 State but none of these settings have any effect.
I've been running all the other components for 2 months with the AMD FX 8350 and they have all worked without a hitch. therefore the only thing that is at fault here is the processor.
My BIOS is the most up to date version available
I've also tried loading up the PC with Linux and the same issue occurs
One last thing, ive also swapped back in the FX 8350 and everything works fine again so we can rule out damage i did. And it's defo not a thermal issue because it runs at 20-30°C when idle and 45-60 °C when in games
My PC's components are as follows:
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM
CPU: AMD FX 9590
GPU: AMD R9 390X 8GB
Mobo: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ Motherboard
RAM: Kingston Beast 32GB DDR3-2133 (4x8GB sticks)
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO- Series 1TB 2.5"
HDD: Toshiba 3TB 3.5" 7200 RPM
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
The systems power draw under load according to pc part picker is 645W
