Question How to stream video to home cinema?

I want to wirelessly connect my pc to my 5.1 home cinema to stream 1080p blueray movies. If I buy a chromecast will I be able to attach it to my home cinema and use it to send HD movies over the wifi from my pc to avr without picture and audio loss? If not is there any other alternative? As for the wifi my router is 3 meters away of the Tv and has a very strong wifi antenna.

I run a home server using plex. It is a fee app that you can run on your PC and download on Chromecast. Load your content into Plex, it is pretty easy, then just stream it on the chromecast. The picture is very good as I am picky about the picture.

I also use Plex to stream 1080p movies from my PC (Plex media server) to 2 1080p TV's but I use a Fire Stick 4K connected to the TV's with the Plex app installed on them.
As stated above it is pretty easy to set up and the picture quality is very good.

plex is great for playback. digital audio is fairly complicated. your client device needs to support the type of audio you want or passthrough to another device. many will not include high royalty ones.
