I don't know how this works but some people say that stress test sometimes damages your components, is it true? What's the safest way to stress test your GPU or CPU?
ok best bet would be to try using a video encoding software such as freemake or handbrake that uses both cpu and gpu. video encoding software can be very taxing on the cpu and gpu. Ive heard both can use cpu + gpu together but I am not sure of the settings for how to do this. just get some random video file and transcode it.
if the components were damaged by the stress test sometimes that means that they were of bad quality.
try a program called p95 and just monitor the temps of your cpu
Because I watched Linus's devil's canyon overclocking guide, he said some versions of prime95 damage your cpu. And I've also heard bad things about Furmark.
