so i have 2 systems a main rig with 320gb HDD and second system with 500gb HDD
the second system recently got an SSD so the previous 500gb HDD only has steam games etc (my internet is bad so i can't re-download all of my games). I want to swap the 320gb and the 500gb content so the second system will just run with an SSD and a 320gb HDD. Is there any chance i can just swap the content without backing it in another external drive?

OK, so the only things that are changing are the 2 HDD's?
500GB <->320GB.

This depends on how much space is consumed on the two HDD's.

If there is sufficient free space on the 500GB to hold the complete contents of the 320GB
and if the contents of the 500GB are not larger than the 320GB...

Put both drives in one system
Create a folder on the 500GB...call it 320Data
Copy the entire contents of the 320GB to the 500GB
Delete the entire contents of the 320
Copy everything from the 500GB, except the folder "320Data", to the 320GB.

This leaves presumably swaps the data between the two drives.

If the data sizes are NOT as listed above, then there are problems.
