How to switch windows 10

5 years ago i bought a pre built computer and i had windows 8 on it and i upgraded to windows 10 for free and now i am upgrading my motherboard and ram so do i need to buy a new OS or can i swap it some how.

as long as you have a fully updated version of windows 10 (at least the anniversary update) and linked to a Microsoft account you can use these instructions after upgrading your motherboard to reactivate
