Hello everyone. Relatively new pc gamer with <2 years experience and only 1 prebuilt pc ever owned. I haven't asked any questions about it's performance since i got it because well, it just works right? so i figured there wasn't anything to miss. that was until yesterday when having a convo with someone who has a near identical setup to mine. in fact he has the exact prebuilt just with an intel cpu instead of ryzen like myself. we were playing Dayz and he was getting 120-180 fps and i was hovering at 80-100 with small jumps to 110 or drops to 60.

its got a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU and AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Radeon Graphics 3.90 GHz CPU 16GB DDR4 RAM.

I've downloaded MSI Afterburner and overclocked the GPU and CPU but dont really notice much difference in performance so i imagine thats done wrong or the reason im here in the first place is the cause, whatever that may be.

does anyone here have any advice or can kinda walk me through step by step what i can do to troubleshoot or resolve the issue, if there is one?

im a great study so i wont frustrate being guided

Usually I suggest checking some generic benchmarks just to get an idea where your system falls performance wise. 3dmark will let you compare to others using the same CPU/GPU combo and that will give you a good place to start. You can also run Cinebench 23 and compare to reviews of the 5600G Tom's Hardware and TechPowerUp both used it in their reviews.
