Essentially the title says it all. I have a bunch of computer components but not all of them for another week or two (depending if I can find cheap school books and cheap or even used 4gb ram at the least).
I see some people doing this after they get everything on their motherboard on youtube - and see them putting everything together and hooking everything up and into the PSU but they always glaze over the key detail of how to start the motherboard without plugging it into the case. I have seen one video on Newegg but their motherboard has a built-in "Power" button.
I'm using an ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z.
Right now I have:
AMD FX-9590
EVGA GTX 780Ti Classified
EVGA SuperNOVA 1300G2 PSU
I have but I don't know if it's needed to test boot the Mobo:
Seagate SSHD and Lite-On DVD-RW.
I'm assuming if I can plug all the essentials in and I run an HDMI from my GTX 780Ti to my TV then it'd show me the display but I'm wondering what else I need for it before I get my Kraken X60 CPU cooler.
Does this have some kind of special term people call it because it's insanely hard to find detailed information on it on YouTube or even google.
