Hello community

I just bought my 1st ssd! It's a vertex2. I got it for 109.99 - 20 MIR at memoryexpress during black friday
GooD Deal !!
My problem is that I am building a computer piece by piece and I am still missing the cpu/mobo/ram of my new machine.

right now I am using
750 psu black edition xfx almost new
5770 vaporx sapphire almost new
haf922 Cooler master almost new

mobo asus LE medium old
E6500 OC 2.9 to 3.2 medium old
2gb patriot ddr2 medium old
1gb crucial ddr2 medium old

5 years old 300 gb drive xp very old

And I just bought my super 60 gb ssd and a 1TB caviar black 64 cache
And I have a windowz seven.

What I want to do:
Get a mobo, ram and cpu to complete my super computer on january 9 or a bit later
SO ican buy a i5 2500k sandy bridge or a i5 760 /or/ i7 950 for cheap

My problem
I have woudl like the 20 $ MIR for my vertex2 but I am afraid of it being DOA.
If I send the MIR and then found that the drive does not work in 1 month I will be fucked.

Do you know how I can test it?

I know that I can not install win7 on it and then change my mobo/ram/cpu because the new hardware will not match.

Am I better of trying my ssd by installing win7 on it just to test it then switch to my old HD until I buy the rest of my hardware
and then I can just reformat my ssd. I think I read somewhere that it was bad for it ??

Can I just send the MIR and hope that my ssd works and if it dosent Can I send it to OCZ ??
